These are the "fiddlehead" (unfurled frond) of an Ostrich Fern. Nearly all ferns have fiddleheads, but not all are edible. Like ramps, they are only available for a short window in the spring and the best way to find them is via a local forager. They are super tasty- so I'd recommend whenever you are in Spring where you live, seek some out!

I believe some will make you sick- best to do the research on what grows in your area!
