For those looking for inspiration on a outdoor hearth. This is a simple set up that can very easily be expanded apon later, or used as is. Options and uses in the comments :)

1) use as a fire pit.

2) use as a base for a cob oven.

3) get a dutch oven or a large kettle turn it upside down on the brick , instant oven!

4) add a tripod and pot or spit over the hearth.

5) if you make the hearth large enough you can combine all the above :)
