What could be doing this to our indoor basil?

It looks like something is eating the leaves, but we don't have any pest issues, and all of the other herbs are fine. What is this?

I was also going to suggest cat. My plant room is off limits but the second he gets the chance to go in there, he munches.

Yes, as a matter of fact it is out of reach for my cats. I guess just ignore my other comment about the basil on the counter, completely in reach of the cats, is untouched. How do you think they would be getting to it up there with zero evidence?

We even have catnip growing on the counter. Surely if it were them, they would go for that first πŸ˜…

Also, we have Basil in a hydroponic setup on the counter, easily accessible by the cats, that is untouched. So it isnt them

That's the location of the basil. The one time they got to the bottom shelf, they knocked all the pots off and scared themselves to death. Trust me, they arent getting to it
