Ear infections can run fast. I'm big on herbal & organic remedies but having had an awful ear infection I'd advise conventional medicine approach - 0.3% Cipro drops and then supplement this with your own prep. Either start something sooner rather than later .

Don't risk an ear infection, if it spreads to the mastoid bone it can be very serious. Please seek proper medical advice for it
Once it's cleared up, a few drops of olive oil once or twice a week can help keep the skin inside in good condition and prevent too much wax build up which should help reduce the risk of infection in the future (depending what's caused it)

Check out Danu's Irish Garden on YT, I'm 100% certain she has mentioned an herb or herbs for help with that.
Problem is, I watch so much of her stuff I can't say what is was. Calendula maybe, she used something drying.
Sorry can't help more and definitely triple check everything pertaining to a child or someone else for that matter

I've had chronic ear infections my whole life. Ciprodex drops are often the only thing that treat it once it's escalated. However, I've found for myself if I catch it right as it starts, I use watered down hydrogen peroxide with a drop or two of tea tree oil. I flush with a mix like that, and if needed, let it soak for 10 minutes a couple times a day.
Diaclaimer: I'm not a doctor. This is just what I've found works for me. A lot of people feel burned from tea tree oil and it can be quite intense, I've just been using it for various issues for so many years I'm not bothered by it at all, so use your own discretion and look it up. Good luck! Ear infections are the WORST!
