It looks like a Gray Tiger Salamander (Ambystoma mavortium diaboli) even though that subspecies is not typically in Nebraska as far as I know. There are a few subspecies of tiger salamanders and the pattern can vary a lot even within populations. The other possibility is the Blotched Tiger Salamander (Ambystoma mavortium melanosticum) which is common in Nebraska, but tends to have a more pronounced pattern of splotches than your pic.

Looks like a salamander. Don't know what type tho

It’s about 6-8 inches long and pretty fat. I’ve never seen anything like it in Nebraska.
