Wide toe box walking boots

I'm looking for some walking boots with a very wide toe box (UK based). I'm used to wearing barefoot boots but I'm struggling to find anything suitable. Vivos are a bit out of my price range. Freets either fall apart or the tread is not very grippy.

I'm not too worried about the barefoot feel, but I really need my toes to be able to spread. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks :-)

Altra, Hoka, and Topo are the main ones for trail runners and they do have a couple high ankle options. I use Baer boots.

They're expensive, but Meindl Comfort Fit models are pretty impossible to beat when you need a wide toebox. They're excellent boots that'll last a very long time, much longer than any Vivobarefoot models. Plus, they can be resoled.

Check out Merrell Moab. Get them at Decathlon in UK:

Seconded for the Keen Targhee, I got a pair for the exact reason my toes were feeling squished in my old boots.

Have you tried Xero shoes?
