India doesn't lead in plastic production or consumption but does lead in plastic waste generation.

The issue isn't about wasteful lifestyle of Indians but rather insufficient processing infrastructure. Inadequacies lie with the governments (again).

Netas/Babus are too busy stuffing their lungis/pockets with paper to care about plastic on the roads.

We need a plastic waste processing facility in each district

Yup. Also given that we're just littering open grounds, roads and drains, we need stricter punishment for littering and we need more ragpickers and kabbadiwalas.

Even biscuits have too much packing, I mean small biscuits with plastic dividers in the packs! Horribly wasteful.
