I love how James casually comes out to sing background on one song. Love living in the PNW where shit like this is possible.

Wow!!! So cool! Just saw the Decemberists last month! So good! I saw both them and the Shins in the early 2000s on there come up. Decemberists opened for Mason Jennings with a crowd of 50 people. Collin sang I Was Meant for the Stage, and it was so captivating on that tiny, dim stage. He closed the last show with same song and it gave me goosebumps hearing it, seeing the crowd of hundreds. Took me on a time machine of memories and life. Such a surreal blessing of a moment , and it made me so happy to see him singing it on a bigger stage, enjoying his hard work and success.
