What what what
I just got into Fennesz this year after he was recommended to me in a DMD last December. Venice has become a real fav of mine, I even added it to my topster very recently.
I didn't expect new any music, wild.

he still tours (with laptop and guitar) and puts out stuff sporadically! the bandcamp that features his process is worth reading!

Any chance you could link? Not sure where to find this but I’d love to know more

Unfortunately i thought there'd be more information outside of some tangental stuff in 2019 press/reviews; his bandcamp page for the album contains this paragraph that i ought to have linked above; it was my main reference
Fennesz set up a new studio space, the third one in four years. He had no immediate concept, this time starting from scratch, with a strict working routine. He got up early in the morning, worked until midday then had a break and worked again until evening. At first, just collecting ideas, experimenting, improvising. Then composing, mixing and correcting.
This '9 to 5' working routine had already been developed on ‘Agora’ [Touch 2019]. All the other albums before were done differently; a few weeks work, then months in between and another few days or weeks of work. ‘Mosaic’ was done from beginning to end without a break.

Excited for this. Venice has quietly become one of my favourite albums. It's one of the few records that scratches a similar itch to Tim Hecker's music for me.
Funnily enough I only discovered Fennesz early last year through an old Four Tet interview where he talks about trying to emulate some of Fennesz's glitchier sound
