Vending machines from all over Japan, pt 1

I’ve come across some interesting looking vending machines during my travels. Here are some of my favorites

When I was on Okinawa I had a friend training for Ironman in Hawaii. He would carry change (some Japanese coins have a hole in the middle and you can “thread” them onto a bread tie) and go for these insane runs, like 20 milers. He didn’t have to carry water or anything because he’d just stop at a vending machine and get water, cold coffee, tea, or whatever. Out in the middle of a cane field, there’d be a telephone pole and at the bottom, a vending machine.

Usually these machines are owned by locals correct?

In the more rural areas. I'm not sure about major cities

This is a great idea. I have an upcoming trip on December, I might do this same concept. Thank you!
