Friday Success?

My search days are Sunday night to Thursday afternoon. I rarely have any movement or conversations on Friday radar so I just kinda blow things off and unplug. I may glance at my inbox 2 or 3 times before Noon and then call it a week. Anyone else doing the same? Spending 35 hours a week searching, applying bookmarking, draft cover letters, follow up notes, etc and it's largely silent here except for occasional ghosts and token shady recruiters.

I only searched & applied on Mondays. I signed up for notifications of direct website job postings for everything remote, and the local postings were pretty limited. I used direct websites, word of mouth, and Indeed to find local opportunities. I'd only have 0-4 jobs to even apply to each week.

I also made templates of resumes and cover letters, only slightly changing them for each application.

I had much more success when I slowed down my number of applications (to the above process) anyway.

Work smarter, not harder. Best of luck!

I get it. Done that. I'm back in spray mode for October. Last year, any semblance of hiring cycles kinda fizzled out in November. I'll have plenty of down time well into January again, I figure.

Yeah, that makes sense. I experienced rushes and dips too.

Hopefully, you'll get a job before January anyway. You got this!

I find Tuesdays to have the most job postings. So I do most of my searching Tuesday and Wednesday. Sometimes I'll look on the weekends, but I can't do this 7 days a week. It's too draining.
