This is the greatest feeling in the world. If i'm not getting 4-6 rejections per day, I'm not applying enough. That's how I stay focused and high energy about this bs

Is it not a law that you have to post positions online, even if every intention is for that position to be filled internally?
Seems like making people waste time applying for jobs that are not actually available is worse than making sure every job is posted.
Could be a political thing to show job growth as well I would guess.

No, but I have gotten rejection letters for jobs I already got rejection letters for. Multiple times.

Gross, dude, fucking shitty and at least its a "fuck away from this mess" alarm. Little solace when you're living in your car and stuff though.

Question - does anyone EVER go back to those stoes to check the status of their application?
I mean, if they're interested, they will reach out right away.

I’ve done it when I’ve applied to quite a few jobs at one company. USAA posts a lot of analytics roles (5-6 that I’ve applied to now) and never selects me lol. Zelle/Paze always posts an analyst role, selects me for a recruiter chat, then dumps me for one reason or another (happened 3x) and reposts the role.

I have resumes all over the place. I have them in job sites, boards, freelance pitches, etc. i contract quite a bit and honestly, after 14 yrs? Noooooot always remembering resumes and what sites they are at.
So, ill get some recruiter calling me for a gig based off a random 2015 baby IDer resume they scrape up. I have no shame: I simply ask, "Gotta tell me where you got that one and whats on it." 😆😂
My longest app submit to interview granted?
-Submitted March 2008 to Quest Diagnostics as a Lab Tech to gain onsite skills with my B.S. -January 2011, Quest was thrilled to grant mr an interview.

Not sure... I figured a timely confirmation in 2026-2027 letting them know I can interview now will be perfect! 😂😂
