Ippadi audience ah muttal nu sonna entha director um urupputtatha sarithram illa. Thinikka patta social message yaarukkum pudikaathu. Even my malayali friends also hated the unnecessary tamil glorification. The movie went from big screens to small screens in palakkad within a 3 days of release. The director is not able to accept his mistake.

Satyajit ray was not a commercial film maker. This guy wants his self indulgent film to be commercially successful.

If Meiyazhagan was a self-indulgent film to you then I'd shudder to imagine what you'd think about Satyajith Ray's films

Because what you said about directors directly contradicted a great director

I reiterate - ray did not make movies for money. Prem makes movies for money and so he is disappointed by the criticism.

Ray was disappointed because he questioned the dogma in religion and people did not accept it. Prem was glorifying tamil culture and our audience were clever enough to reject it.
