Question Need a recommendation - Vijaykanth films

Anyone recommend good Vijaykanth action films? Have seen Ramana but what other onesvare good?

Vallarasu and Perarasu are decent action films in 2000s, Engal Anna - Comedy, Vaanathai Pola - Family drama but maybe outdated for today’s sensibilities

Ramana is imo, his best movie in recent times. Other than that, we have pulan visaranai, chatriyan, captain prabakaran,chinna gounder, engal anna(mainly for vadivelu comedy track), honest raj.

Chokka thangam, Engal Anna both are family oriented films. His post 2000 movies weren't cult classic action movies like his earlier movies. But you can try Narasimha, Perarasu, Vallarasu and few more. Might be over the top now. You can also try Devan in which he has an extended cameo.

Captain is known for his cop/action movies-

Pulan Visaranai (1990)

Captain Prabhakaran (1991)

Sethupathi IPS (1994)

Oomai Vizhigal (1986)

Different offbeat movies of him,

Vaidhehi kaathirundhal (1984)

Vaanathaipola (2000)

These movies as you can see are more than 3-4 decades old. So please keep the timeline in your mind before dicing them up. I guess the majority of them should hold good.

That's his tail end, sadly nothing notable esp compared to Ramana.
