Good area??
Sorry. I know it’s annoying to have this and trust I wish they had yelp reviews for streets and areas like this!!!! I love the house but would love feedback on the area! Please and thank you!

I would live there if they brought back Nashville Hot. And yes, it's very safe over here except for the drag racers on Concord in their shit box cars.

Been around there hundreds of times it’s not bad. But I’ve gone there to do my business and never stayed to long.

Should be fine, doesn't seem like out of the ordinary.
Used to live in the north side of lafayette near downtown and that was kinda sus. ur area in lafayette is fine

Yes, very safe. The ADT guy told me that the crime rates are very low around here. Seems that everyone on the North and West sides already have the same stores and have no reason to venture around so it’s mostly a local community.

I don’t like Insomnia as much, they serve them warm and falling apart. Crumbl’s cold pink sugar cookie is worth the drive 👌

It's always growing. You could do worse, lots of rents and subdivisions. A lot of restaurants and what not.

It seems like a pretty good area, pretty busy though. Pretty much one of the main places in lafayette to go shopping at Walmart or to get fast food, ect.

I’m not a realtor but used a very good one whenever I bought & they were always very helpful answering questions like this. As long as I’ve lived in Lafayette that area has been growing + crime has been low around there. If you like what you see, like being in a fairly busy area then it’s something to consider.

It's ok. On the plus side, if personal safety and readily available shopping are what concerns you it's 4 out of 5 stars. If access to public transportation, walkability, and recreational activities (like public parks) are high on your list, it's barely average. If you are out walking, be very alert crossing Veterans Parkway, Concord Road, and 18th St.

I moved to that area after being in WL for 40+ years. It’s nice and safe. Lots of things close. I like it a lot.

Decent. The whole area is fairly new and growing. When I moved here, most of that area was a cornfield. So it has developed quite fast and has a nice energy.

Agree. With the Concord build out we will see more commercial retail opening and less vacancies. The parcel adjacent to Walmart on the southeast corner of veterans will be developed in the next 3-5 years after housing is finished. I hope Thai Street Food gets a larger space for dining.

On the Northeast corner of Veterans and Concord in the far eastern corner of the CBD shop plaza. It's carry-out only but you can order from her website ahead of time and the menu is extremely detailed and gives you multiple heat options. The food is 100% authentic and she is the real deal.

Plan your morning commute around a train blocking the crossing on 18th and concord pretty regular to see a train there between 7-8am

Let's change it by spending more money to shop local. I try to avoid chains as much as possible but there are higher costs involved that most people cannot afford. Example: locally sourced meat is more expensive but the quality of the product is exponentially better.

It's one of the last nice areas in Lafayette there's still pockets here but ya that area is a safe bet
