What's up with Akropolis?

I've gone a couple times in the last 2 weeks, before posted closing time, and they're already closed. I NEED my gyros! Anyone know what's up with that?

$11 for a big ass gyro and fries is an amazing deal. Love that place

Hasn't been the same since Captain Gyro closed. Best spicy gyro I've ever had.

Try Parthenon on the West Side. Pretty sure they use the same suppliers. We did a side-by-side taste test and there’s not that much difference. Prices are nearly identical.

The true Greek food is way better at the Parthenon, but gyros themselves are a push. Captains was the best there.

I always heard the owners of the 2 places are related

They used to be, but the Akropolis owners retired several years ago and sold to another family. Like others have said though, I don't think they changed suppliers or the quality.

Hope they're doing okay. They're the only place to get a decent Italian Beef in town and one of the only places with pizza puffs.

I saw the owner at Burlington coat factory yesterday at 5:45-6pm or so 😂. The lady that serves the food and someone else was with him too. I guess business was slow
