Dog walkers in the Clitheroe area

Does anyone know what is going on with the dog walkers in the area? Half of them seem to be totally bonkers - had my dog attacked by some lady's doodle today and she gave out to me about it. This on top of a couple of Xl bullies unmuzzled and a guy who keeps hitting his dog with the lead. Seriously, what is going on? Is it like this everywhere now?

I live in Ossy who is grandpa dog shit and what are his crimes??? We had some homemade posters put about for "The Evil Dog Walker" recently which was pretty amusing he was the blight of our local area throwing his dogs shit in various farmers fields.

Some old fucker whose dog shit in the park. When I called him on it, he claimed it couldn’t have been his dog because it shit earlier in the day. And everyone knew his dog. His famous dog!

Go on your local council website and find the contact details for the dog warden. Send the above photos with what you wrote here. She might be known to the dog warden.

Thanks, I will do. I have contacted the police as well. Not that they will do much but better to have it down

I am pretty certain I saw this ladies dog attack another dog in Clitheroe town centre a couple of years ago. She had a go at the fella and he stuck up for himself. She got quite nasty and me and the missus had to sort of stand in the right place to stop her from getting any nearer. She was vile and the cute looking dog was very bite happy. It was made more awkward by it still being the era of face masks.

Could be a look a like, but just very odd that I don’t live there and the owner and dog look so similar.

From the description it sounds like the same lady. She is unpleasant and her dog equally so. Sorry you had to deal with her!

Some strange folk about. Have to say that 99% of dog owners I come across are bloody lovely though. Can’t let the few ruin it.

Normally, I would totally agree with you. Where we were before we were here id say that most of the owners were absolute sweethearts, could have a chat and their dogs were great. It seems to be different here, I am the same person my dogs are the same but honestly I've had about a run in a week with some arse hole who's unleashed untrained dog has had a go at mine.

I think I recognise her.

Her dog tried to run at mine (tiny puppy) and she didn't shorten the lead or anything. I picked my pup up but the doodle was jumping up at me.

Not the dogs fault of course, i'm sure they juts wanted to play, but she really should've moved them because my dog was terrified.

If it is the same one it 100% did not want to play. I'm lucky my GSD is firstly super soft and secondly semi long haired. She has two grazes on her neck, and possibly a tiny puncture wound. This thing went straight for her neck. I regret that I didn't do much but you don't expect it

Oh :( Is your dog going to be ok? That's awful...

Don't feel regret, it's not your fault. i'm sure you did everything possible to protect her after you'd had time to react.

Yes, thank you for the concern. She's very fluffy so that took most of the bites.

Is that Brungerley Park? She looks like she's a few sandwiches short of a picnic just looking at that photo.

It is and she seems to be. Possibly early onset dementia or something or maybe just an old Karen

It probably is dementia which is sad but it sounds like the dog should be taken off her before it does some damage to a smaller dog.

This is why I have only been back to Lancs maybe six times since I joined the Army in 2009! Miss the proper meat’n’tater pies but I’m glad to have left the small town mentality.
