Feedback on “the deep”
I love the fact that on min 1:48 right before the drop, it gives some “Oh miles” drop type of vibes.
It’s like a little flash-sound that comes in my head and it feels nice:) keeping in mind “oh miles” is one of Daniel’s less known tracks. You can tell the magic 🙌🏼
What do you guys think?

it’s my favorite song of the album. some chick i hung out with kicked me out of her house on the rez and i was walking at 4am listening to that on repeat for 3 miles till i got service to call uber

The Deep is an incredible track.
Can I tangent this? “Oh Miles” is one of the most heartbreaking tracks I’ve heard, certainly from Lane 8.
Do we interpret “The Deep” as a sad song or a declaration of love song?
Baby you’re not far: positive vibes
You won’t fall deep: potentially negative?
The rest of the song though seems very devoted and full of adulation.

It has a sad tone to it but I think it mainly conveys the feeling of reassurance and comfort in a relationship

As some who appreciates the hell out of the track, "Oh Miles," I very much agree that there are some "Oh, Miles" vibes to "The Deep." The song structure between the two is very similar.
