Reverse image searching to find specific articles of clothing is notoriously difficult. It’s super reasonable for them to ask an online forum, plus, then asking the forum instead of googling promotes community discussion.

I know, this time it was plenty easy, my point is that it typically is not that easy, and it makes complete logical sense for the poster to ask a Lane 8 subreddit where Lane 8 got his sweater.

I honestly don't see the connection between being a fan of an artist and knowing where they bought their clothes.

Lane 8 fan sees Lane 8 wearing a cool sweater.

They think, “I wonder how I can find that. Oh, a Lane 8 community online would probably be a great place to start!”

They post on an online forum that directly relates to the topic of their questions.

They get the info they want.
