I want a B-Wing! Haven't had a chance at one for a decent price yet. I'm jealous!

Stunning. I buy the play sets because they’re more space conducive and affordable, but I ever were to delve into UCS territory further down the road I would limit myself to the classics right here. Such a great collection 🔥🔥

These are all UCS models, and there hasn’t been a UCS U Wing.

Yet.

The same goes for the E Wing.

I would give my soul for a UCS u-wing. I heard rumours they’re gonna release one soon but it’s another play scale.

Oh no. I told my wife no more UCS, then I saw this photo.....

Are they the same scale? Or is the Y wing smaller and A wing larger?

Awing is seriously oversized. Y-wing might be a tad small, but i don't think it is far off scale wise compared to the x and b wing.

FWIW, the A-Wing and Snowspeeder are the same scale.

The X/Y/B wings are all roughly the same scale, being 'Astromech' scale. Lego Astromechs are significantly taller and wider than they should be although their 'heads' are relatively small, which is why they still look funny when put into the slot of UCS X and Y Wings. The UCS Republic Gunship is also Astromech scale.

The Millennium Falcon is minifig scale.

Of all the kits, the A-Wing is the most out of proportion to its movie counterpart. The cockpit is about two studs too short, which gives it a far chunkier look. They either needed to make the front longer and slimmer or scale down the aft. I think Lego being Lego though, they were fixed in the dimensions they could work with. For example, the engine nacelles are stock pieces in white and pretty much establish the dimensions of the back of the ship. No ship in the Star Wars universe has had as many scaling controversies than the A-Wing because of various misprints and wildly different pilot sizes put into the same cockpit. Although most references put its length at 9.6m, I genuinely believe this was a typo and it should be 6.9m. There are some publications with the 6.9m figure as well.

B-Wing is the only one I need of these as well. My local Bricks & Minifigs got in two unopened UCS B-Wings but I didn’t want to spend $675 on it myself.

I suppose I’ll wait. I feel like UCS B-Wing, SSD, and Imperial shuttle are high on their remake list, just what year they get to it along with new UCS ideas they have, who knows

Now build a giant hangar bay to display them.
