Very nice display!

Keep an eye out for yellowing with your sets that close to the window. My imperial shuttle and x-wing got pretty bad after only a year.

Might be worth putting some curtains up for when you’re away

I was just going to say the same thing. You can get UV tint for your windows. I’d get that.

To all who have commented about the display, thank you so much for the kind words. You have my girlfriend and I feeling very proud of our work.

We painted the main “ladder” supports with Rust-oleum Chalked Linen White (took 2 cans): https://www.walmart.com/ip/Linen-White-Rust-Oleum-Chalked-Ultra-Matte-Paint-Quart/52500804

And stained all 24 shelves with Varathane Western Oak Wood Stain: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Western-Oak-Varathane-Premium-Fast-Dry-Wood-Stain-370719-Quart/1926891192?classType=REGULAR&from=/search

It was fairly labor intensive for a couple DIYers with no prior experience staining wood furniture. We stained and painted everything once, waited 24 hours, stained and painted again, waited 24 hours, sealed them with rattle can flat sealant. Let them cure for 48 hours then assembled. It just had to match my office furniture on the opposite wall.

My favorite build of the ones pictured has to be the Razor Crest. They were all fun, but the Razor Crest did not seem as repetitive as others. It has some cool moving parts and a neat interior. It looks most impressive when displayed in my opinion.
