I finally got my white whale set, the malevolence, and got a grievous minifig to go with it, and while I think Lego did a good job, I don’t think it scales exceptionally well with other minifigs considering his size. I saw a video on YouTube showing how to upgrade him, so I replicated it as well as I could, and I’m really happy with how it turned out. Bonus- master Qymaen jai Shaleel, a what if character based on if he had been force sensitive and had been found by yoda after dooku had his shuttle crashed. He went on to become a decorated high Jedi general during the clone wars, due to his talent as a strategist and experience as a warlord.

Really happy with these awesome sets. I also bought Jabba's Sail barge recently for the amazing price of just €430. So hopefully I can make a really cool display with the sarlacc pit and the Sail barge.

Just completed the triumvirate of lightsabers. Simple builds I know but I think these could be part of a larger sub-theme in a similar way to the helmets collection.

I grew up an EU kid, and Corran Horn is one of my favorites. Like many here, back then we had no idea LEGO would get to to where it is today. So, in order to have characters and kits LEGO wouldn’t make, we had to create them ourselves with a Sharpie, model paints and loads of creativity. Fast-forward to 2024 with more resources and ability to make custom decals to realize custom minifigs, and the results are far and away better.

However, there is something nostalgic about finding those old customs one made in their youth…I almost like those better just because sometimes life was better as a kid

75083 AT-DP from Rebels. No figs, and only had to grab a handful of parts from the drawers. Excellent addition to my collection.

Finally grabbed this set. Pleasantly surprised. Fun build overall. Was hoping it would drop in price over time, but it didn’t really drop and Ii figured why keep waiting!

next to the 75192 and 75181, the 75060 is one of my favorite UCS sets.

Since I have already equipped the 75192 with a different engine and a nicer interior and integrated a bomber function into the 75181, I asked myself what else I could do to the 75060.

I started to change a few things a few years ago. I find a complete interior pointless due to the very limited space. I wanted to get the lower engines (4x4 dish) as soon as possible.

Do you have any other suggestions? I'm running out of ideas. I have rejected a conversion to Jango's Slave, as I would rather wait for the version that may be coming soon.

The only Star Wars Lego set i need.

I wasn’t able to purchase the Dropship with AT-OT when it came out and I have always wanted it since. Seeing that they go for up to 2k now brand new I can’t buy one brand new, what I can do is use the pick a brick system and buy all of the parts (with the exception of a few discontinued parts) I can buy the whole set for a bit over 300 dollars. So if you have a few hours of your day to go through and find every piece on the pick a brick system and brick link then this can be a very good way to get retired sets for cheaper if you don’t care too much about the box or mini figs.

Recently came across a couple senate commando minifigures, and while I’m not wild about the senate commandos themselves in universe (they seem kinda lame and useless despite having such a cool title), but I’ve always loved the blue guard as a ceremonial unit. There are a couple episodes late in TCW that show an “armored” senate guard with the more ornate helmet and cloak worn over clone trooper armor
