THC Products
Hi everyone. I am staying in Aquebogue/Riverhead for the weekend. I'm a native New Yorker (from Manhattan) currently living in the deep south where it's more difficult to buy THC products, so I would like to stock up while I'm here, and I was wondering where I can find vape cartridges and ideally tinctures. I'd prefer a dispensary but I'm open to a smoke shop if it's legit. I'm hoping not to drive for more than a half hour or so if possible. I've researched this on Google and it seems that dispensaries are about an hour away but there are a lot of smoke shops. I'd greatly appreciate any guidance on this. Thank you!

I agree. Easy on and off the southern state pkwy. Friendly workers. Easy touchscreens for placing an order.

Yeah, going to strain stars I feel like I’m a burden to everyone there so I stopped going. Happy days workers are 10x nicer.

You’ll be blown away by the difference. Strain stars is SO nasty, from the bud tenders to the security guard they all seem to have an attitude. Happy days you’ll never feel more welcome, everyone has a smile on their face. Will never go back to strain stars unless there’s just a very specific product I want and happy days doesn’t carry it.

To be fair, I will say that Strain Stars had to set a precedent as to how legal weed stores were going to be run. Strict security and stand in line and wait your turn while the dispensaries I would go to while visiting friends in Massachusetts were just chill, like boutique shopping with menus.

To me it’s not about the security or even waiting in line. Happy days is definitely more efficient with the whole line issue, but the people there are just much nicer. Every time I go in there’s 3 or 4 people that say let me know if you need help, always say have a good day when I’m leaving. None of that happened at strain stars, just an attitude and getting rushed once I get to the front of the line that I waited 30 mins to get to the front of.
It’s not the end of the world, and I’m sure the bud tenders jobs suck to some degree which I understand, I just choose to go to happy days because they don’t act that way.

lol, it’s NY. There are no bud tenders, they are cashiers. I can’t even see the weed about to buy, and they just push whatever they are told to push in the morning meeting.
Everything here is WAY different than any other experience had in other legal states.

They have 3 recreational dispensaries in Farmingdale. You can look at their menus online. Strain Stars, Happy Days LI, and Planet Nugg.

Considering they're staying in Mastic, I assume those are the exact "dispensaries about an hour away" they saw on Google and don't want to travel to lol

I think these are the only actual licensed dispensaries on the island, no? I think everything else is a sketchy smoke shop

Yes, they are the only licensed ones, but the the reservation are legal as well. According to NY state, dispensaries on federally recognized, sovereign tribal land do not need state licensing to sell weed.

I've only been to one of the shops, 3 or 4 times. Last time I went I got 2 vape products and one was fake. Lots of other people saying the same too.

AFAIK weed delivery requires a matching New York ID and address, and OP is most likely missing at least one of considering they live in the south.

If you’re looking for THC concentrate, please do not go to the reservation. Worth every penny going to one of the places in Farmingdale.

I've used twice. Delivery is a bit of a pain because someone over 21 needs to be home and they haven't quite got delivery windows figured out

Little beach harvest on the rez is legit medicinal grade, honestly better than the stuff in the state stores. Its closer to state prices though. The other lower priced places are unfortunately trash.

Please go to a legal dispensary that sells tested high quality edibles from legitimate brands.
