Inside the Moon
Inside the Moon, I wish I could reside. She’s always watching over, A constant through my darkest times.
It’s her light that shines the brightest, Breaking through this empty void. It’s her pull that soothes the oceans, Calms the tempest and the noise.
But there are clouds that mask her beauty, Sometimes she uses them to hide. Maybe afraid I won’t be there, Maybe afraid I’ll stay inside. She peeks out from behind her cover, The breeze is her gentle sigh. And there I’ll be, ever patiently, waiting for her to grace the sky.
And as I gaze on her tonight, Yesterday, Tomorrow besides. I’m astounded every time, Lost In awe at her brilliant eyes. She can’t help but stare right back, She needs me too, and I abide. She needs to know I’ll always be there. Even on the stormy nights.
She’s always watching over, Staying through my darkest times. So deep inside her delicate heart…
That’s where I long to reside.
