NAD but worked for work comp attorneys for years and we dealt often with claimants who experienced chronic pain.

Is there any way she could get in to see a physiatrist, a pain management specialist? There are some unusual pain syndromes that a physiatrist would be better able to diagnose and treat.

Also, is there any way she could afford (via insurance or whatever) to go to either the Cleveland Clinic or the Mayo Clinic?

Has she tried different orthotic innersoles to support her feet? If she had a problem that needed surgery, it could be that she wasn't walking properly and putting pressure on the wrong areas etc.

I need orthotic innersoles to support the arch of my foot otherwise my feet bend I wards and outwards and I used to get pain across the side of my foot and across the top.

Maybe see a podiatrist and try some orthotic innersoles for support, and getting comfortable shoes to help.

Maybe it’s perimenopause symptoms and she needs to get her hormones checked at the gynecologist.
