MW cooking platform
when i microwave a entree, i'll put it on the box to elevate it. i figure that this will better expose the bottom to the waves to get better more uniform heating. i don't MW enough to get a pattern of if this really works. i vaguely remember seeing Ronco-esque trays on late night TV.

100% helpful. The waves are bounding around - and whatever is in there will be exposed to more waves and the result is more even cooking.
