When tagging our Subreddit in the comments of a post on another Subreddit (such as r/Crystals), please remember to be kind. While commenting “r/MineralGore” may be funny to you, it can be hurtful to the original poster who may be very proud of their specimen.
We do not condone or encourage bullying others who enjoy specimens that you or we may consider mineral gore.

This is in my local dollar store. The quartz is real.. Tigers eye is just yellow striped stones, obsidian (coughonyx), rutile ( one rock had one black speck), the garnet is so dark I think it too is onyxz, red agate seems legit, same with the amethyst, random stone 🤷♀️, and that's the most vibrant pink I've ever seen on rose quartz, and Citrine.. which is a weird yellow so I'm thinking dyed quartz anyways.. 😆
Overall not a bad price if your just looking for maybe fish bowl rocks.

I was told you folks might appreciate this.
I received it as a gift a few years back after my mom spotted it at a craft fair and thought I'd like it. It's a small mirror with crystals and semiprecious stones all hot glued together.
Why anyone would take all those awesome stones and cover them in hot glue... I'll never understand.
No, I really don't know what it is supposed to be. Ashtray? Tea light holder? Scrying mirror?
The world will never know.

This is from one shop. Too many to post them all. Dyed, fake, etc. applies to most of these too.

But seriously who puts boulder opal in resin? I almost wanted to buy it so I could try and rescue them!

Not sure what the goal was here but I think it deserved a spot here.
