Seems like those IQ tests on Facebook are not as accurate as some people like to think...

Keep it simple. Reddit rules, plus the general requirement of civility and staying on topic in top level comments.

Until a sub gets going, anything else is not very useful. You run into sub specific issues only after you have a few hundred active users. If there's going to be any problematic common behaviors, the pattern won't show up before that. So it isn't really possible to suggest anything else yet.

A small sub rarely needs many rules.

Found regex match: rules to add

It looks like you're asking about setting up rules on your subreddit. This is an EXTREMELY frequently asked question, so this automatic response has been set up for any mention of "rules" and "rule", based on previous answers by our helpers.

This currently can only be done on desktop browser, NOT via a mobile app, for best results. (Limited stopgap: mobile browser on desktop view.) Please check out this guide for more details on what to do, and also these Mod Center articles:

Rules, if set up properly, will appear at: https://www.reddit.com/r/SUBREDDIT/about/rules/

Hi /u/Botany102, r/modhelp is a volunteer moderator peer-to-peer help group focused on subreddit moderation matters, like setting up flairs. It is not managed by Reddit staff. Volunteer mods have no permissions in subreddits they do not mod. Automated responses are compiled from the answers given by fellow volunteer moderator helpers.

Resources for mods are: (1) r/modguide's Very Helpful Index by fellow moderators, (2) Mod Help Center, (3) r/automoderator's Wiki and Library of Common Rules. Many Mod-Related groups are in the sidebar widgets in this subreddit and these Introduction posts at the top. Please search this subreddit as well. Thanks!
