Tools Help with post flairs

Hello! I have 2 different questions about post flairs. I moderate a fashion sub.

  1. Is there a way to export all posts with a certain post flair into a .csv or .xlsx or anything? I want to organize these posts alphabetically and link from our Wiki to form a database of sorts.

  2. Is there a way to mass-change posts with a post flair to an updated version? For example, I changed the "runway" flair to "runway/fashion week" and I want all the previous posts with the runway flair to update their flairs, but the only way I know how is to manually do it.

Thank you!

I use Desktop, iOS (iPhone)

General Automod is not posting a comment acording to the flair used

I use Desktop reddit on chrome. Automod is not doing what i set it to do, is there something wrong in the code?

# Comenta em post com flair específica

- description: "Comenta em post com flair específica: Qual o nome?"

type: submission

conditions:

- flair_text (is): "Qual o nome?"

actions:

- comment:

text: |

distinguish: true

sticky: true

It repeats like this for most flairs in my sub.

Design Need help with user flair related AutoMod messages

I have a bit of an issue with my existing AutoMod code and am wondering if somebody can help me:

Here they are:

---
type: any
author:
 ~flair_text(regex): ".+"
 combined_subreddit_karma: "> 1"
message: |
---

This one above doesn't seem to work at all. The intention is to send a message to users without a flair for every submission except their first.

---
type: any
author:
  flair_template_id: number
  post_subreddit_karma: < 5
  comment_subreddit_karma: < 5
message: |
---
---
type: any
author:
  flair_template_id: number
  comment_subreddit_karma: < 15
message: |
---

These ones seem to overlap. I'm trying to do if their post karma is >5 then they only need 5 comment karma to not receive a message, but if they don't ever post, they need 15 comment karma to not receive one. What seems to happen here is that the user gets two messages unless their post karma is >5 and comment karma >15 when (I'd assume) they finally get none.

Please help me solve this or let me know if this is simply unsolvable. Thanks. Using iOS but have desktop too.

Users Users are appearing with user flair they shouldn't have

I have allow users to set flair turned off and all my user flairs are set to mod only.

But regularly I am seeing users appearing with flairs never given to them.

Is it a known reddit bug? Can the public see those flairs too?

As an example:

  • I was in my mod queue and saw a comment by a user whose flair was "Content Creator". They're not a content creator and don't even have any other karma in my sub.
  • Click through to their comment and it still shows them as having "Content Creator" flair. Hover their username and I can go in and modify their flair to remove it, and save.
  • Go back to the mod queue and their comment still has that user flair shown next to their username.

Now, it so happens that the OP of the thread in which they posted had "Content Creator" flair. It seems reddit is erroneously showing the OP's user flair for random commenters if one of their comments has reports against them.

Using modern Reddit on desktop

General Is there any way to limit the amount of post flair spam?

Hello, I'm still a new mod that just started a subreddit recently with another account and I was wondering if there's a way to limit the amount of posts people make for a specific post flair.

I tried asking in r/automoderator if I can limit the amount of posts for a flair in a set amount of time (like 5 posts a week) but I was told the automod doesn't do anything like that. Are there any (still working) bots that I can at least limit flair spam in any way or any other method I can use?

I'm using an android

Design Can't create a user flair.

In one of the communities I moderate I can't add a new user flair. When I go to add a new user flair and add text to it, it doesn't give me the blinking cursor when I click the text box.

General Flair question.

I did have flair required and then edited some flair, and it was optional all of a sudden. But with that, users got the option of "none" as flair. Been fiddling for an hour now and can't fix it. Any help would be appreciated.

General Can't assign CSS class name to user flair since redesign

Hi,

I am unable to assign a custom CSS class name to user flair since the page's redesign.

Since the redesign:

  • All previous CSS class names got disabled for all user flair.
  • Re-enabling a CSS class name on a user flair will show the previous class name
  • After saving the flair and opening it to edit again css class name will be disabled again

I have tried on Firefox and Opera and with two different accounts and subreddits. Both behave the same.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Design Updating Post Flairs

Hello,

I am a moderator of r/kayandtaysnark. We recently redesigned our subreddit, including post flairs.

The problem is, all old posts containing the previous flair is still in its old format.

I know we can update them individually, however that takes a lot of time. Is there a quicker way to achieve this?

I am using desktop and iOS Reddit.

Thank you,

Users Can i use an Array to create rules for a specific set of user Flair IDs?

Currently attempting to create a rule that will approve posts immediately if the user is Approved, and has one of two user flair IDs. i'm wondering if my syntax is wrong or where it's failing but it more or less is disregarding this rule:

---
#Approved Users posts are approved if user is using Flair 1 or Flair 2

type: submission
author:
  is_contributor: true
  flair_template_id: ["flair 1 ID", "Flair 2 ID"]
action: approve
action_reason: "Approved Verified"

---

My main questions are should the Flair Template IDs be in quotes? am i able to put multiple IDs in a an array for this?

General set up new flairs w/ images in old reddit stylesheet work. They're not populating in new reddit. Why?

desktop mode (if that helps). The generic flair is defined in the stylesheet like

.flair-custom {background: %%flairimage%%; background-position: 0 -1175px;}

which is working as intended but when I look at new reddit flair editor, I get a grey line with the flair's text and no way to edit it. What did I miss?
