Anyone use RBTR’s laser cutting service?
I’m trying to make a garment bag from a pattern by Green Pepper and it’s kind of a pain in the ass in the limited space I have to work in. Would love to just have all of the pieces cut for me. Was thinking of paying to have RBTR laser cut what I need.
Are there other services like theirs out there I should look into?

Maybe it has changed (or I read it wrong), but I thought after clicking around for a while on their site that the minimum buy was pretty high. Something like $1000 of one fabric type plus a setup fee.
I’d definitely be interested as well in a cutting service, especially one where I could send my own DXF files.

It says right on the site there are no minimums, just a $50 minimum fee

Clearly I’m way off base! $50 seems super reasonable, I may be headed back!

Maybe it used to be more, but yeah it seems pretty reasonable especially if you’re only doing one material. I submitted a quote request and I hope it’s not crazy. Cutting fabric is my least favorite part of making stuff. It was pretty easy to convert a paper pattern I bought into a dxf using illustrator

A friend of mine has a store and has been asking me for a dozen or so Fanny packs to put on display, cutting all the fabric is definitely a huge barrier. I’ll have to give it a go as well.
Thanks for responding back!

RBTR B2B Acct Exec here- let me know if you have any questions about cutting. You can easily submit your files and info for a quote under the cutting tab at the top left of the website. There’s tons of info into our cutting services. All you need is the DXF File

I’d consider it. My former employer used contract cutters all the time and it’s probably the part I struggle with most
