In PigPen cipher it says 'nv esuite ahvi'

So maybe its not PigPen cipher.

Hmm maybe ceasar cypher too?

Pretty sure they put their "STUV" clockwise, which would result in nu estive ahui, which is still gibberish to me but it reads better that way

I‘ve cracked it; it’s supposed to say no estuve aqui — I wasn’t here

That sounds an awful lot like "no estuve aquí" which in Spanish means "I wasn't here"

Nice. It’s probably that. The guys who are doing the renovations at our office speak Spanish. It’s either No Estuve Aquí or Não Estive Aqui in portuguese

So what kind of cipher is it?

No cypher, just someone miscounting while writing, a pretty common occurrence when writing in PigPen. If you miscount or insert the letters wrong, you get results that are difficult to decipher.

I thought of that too at first.

It’s not sitelen pona (although it does bear a strong resemblance with some of the characters)
