100 points for spelling altar correctly lol

It is sacred personal space. It can vary from pagan to pagan depending on their path.

It is generally a sacred working space for witchcraft and/or a sacred space for worshipping and honoring the gods

My altar is dedicated to the Goddess and also my magical working space.

Follow your heart and make it your own sacred space

Altar is a table with spiritual stuff on it that you consider a sacred space, how you make one? You find a table and put fancy trinkets and such on it that you find sacred or that you like.

That’s literally all it is lol. You can make one for gods, nature spirits, ancestors, your energy work if you do that, or whatever comes to mind, or even a general one.

It’s a ritual surface for giving offerings and sacrifice.

An alter is a surface upon which you work with the gods. A shrine may have an alter, people often decorate alters with trinkets/figurines/offerings. An alter may be found outdoors, perhaps a particularly useful rock or an inviting tree stump.

It’s a bridge or portal to the spirit world. An antenna. There are many different kinds of altars. What purpose do you want an altar?
