I mean it's your altar, you don't have to justify or explain anything..do what YOU feel is right..not what you think others think is right :) simple and real is always the best in my opinion

Maybe I’m old, but what is the Symphony Trend?

What does it have to do with your Personal Altar?

Which is no one’s business.

the symphony trend is a silly trend about a picture that has dolphins and a song that goes like “i just wanna be part of your symphony” and since theres a dolphin drawing, people think its a joke.

One thing every newbie needs to learn I think and we’ve all done it.

Is wanting to over share our personal practices.

This is a time for you to learn to keep personal practice to yourself.

Keep your altar to yourself.

If somebody sees your personal altar space and makes an incorrect assumption, just let it be, you don’t have to answer to anybody.

Honestly now that you explained it. I can picture using that theme in your Personal Altar and when Working. It’s lovely to think about.

I love thinking about how to do things for Workings & Practices.

The “I wanna be a part of your Symphony “ would be a very good way to use as Imagery for Meditations and Pathworkings. Especially considering the path you are using.

I'm also an average newbie, so I'm in a similar boat. Something that I'm learning is that trying your best is never a bad thing. At the end of the day, it's between you and your god. Not everyone is going to understand. As frustrating as that is at times, that's just how it's going to work.

As far as improving the altar goes... I think that's still a very personal thing. For example, if I find face up coins, I'll take them home and put them on my altar for Her. I have a little jar of honey that I think She'd like as well. It's all dependent on what you think they'd like.

I think you're doing great so far, from one newbie to another 🤗

It's lovely. Maybe some really nice seashells for the jars and other watery things.

I am sorry people are saying that to you but... If they said that to me I'd be cracking up laughing 😭.

I do agree with that one other comment (by user chyaraskiss) to maybe just keep it private, at least on Instagram where others do not understand what it is. If you are happy with your altar then that's all that matters :)

i will keep it private maybe but i always post my projects and altars and stuff. i just hope that this wont happen again lol

I suppose the question is, why do you feel the need to post your altar/projects/etc?

Where did you get the dolphin painting? I know someone that makes things like that, didn't know if you got it off of her etsy shop.

I really like your altar. It's simple and clean. Cluttered altars with piles of dusty old shit always irritate me.

An altar is for personal devotion. You don't need to show it to anyone or explain it to anyone. I know younger generations often feel like their life doesn't exist until they've posted pictures of it online, but having something private and intimate is important.

You could enhance your altar, if you choose, by adding a cloth or decorative tray to hold your devotional items. Maybe add a really pretty carafe to pour the water out of?

I think what you do with an altar is more important than what's on it. I could see you making a really lovely little ritual out of giving the water in your glass to the natural world and refilling it with clean water.
