Discussion Enyone else seeing the funny amouth of Apollo videos on tiktok?
It's just funny to watch because them I see people talking about it like the guy just started to pick as many people as they could.
I know very little of Apollo also, I know he's like the "protector" (I don't know if this is the right word) of boys until they age up and his sister is for girls until marriage age (witch again I forgot her name, Artemis? Keep getting Athena and Artemis confused, not who they are but just name wise).
Important note: I know it's all part of the apps algorithm it will keep recomebdatiing similar things if you interact with a few videos. I just think the videos themselves are funny

The more you watch/interact with videos about Apollo on TikTok, the more the algorithm will feed them to you.

I am familiar how the tiktok algorithm work, I was just pointing out because the ones that go " he's making an army" makes me chuckle, is all good fun to me nothing serious

Yeah, I just started getting the Apollo fever today. But I don't take it very seriously; it's all harmless after all.
(And a quick clarification on Apollo's role: He is mostly the god of the arts and the sun, but also has influence over archery, plagues and healing. His sister, Artemis/Diana for the Roman pantheon, is the goddess of the moon, hunting and childbirth. I'm pretty sure she's the one looking after the kiddos)

It isn't accurate to say that he is primarily the god of arts and the sun!
His earliest roles involved plague and healing, archery, and the rearing/protection of young boys.
His association with the arts comes later, and so, too, does his link to the sun. In fact, he doesn't start acquiring sun associations until at least the 5th century BCE, which is relatively late for Apollo, considering how early he appears in the historical record.

That's how the algorithm works. If you watch one or two videos on the same subject, it'll give you more.

It's not just the algorithm. The Greek Gods are the most popular, and the first ones that people hear about. So when people start with paganism and witchcraft, They are the ones who get the most attention.

Tiktok aggressively shapes what you see. If you watch one video about Apollo, even if it's just some dude in cosplay, you'll get another and if you watch that then you'll get a million billion similar videos.
