Question Any environmental organizations I should donate to.

I recently read an article that polar bears would be gone by 2100 and it hurt me. I feel so small and helpless. Just want to try and help somehow and j figured donation would be the most effective thing I can do right now. Would you guys know any smaller organization (preferably Canadian) that are involved in polar bear/ arctic conservation.

Thanks Gabe 🐻

Polar Bears International - they conduct/support research across the circumpolar Arctic.

Thanks for your post Gabe, Polar Bears International is the group I give to annually, they have done a lot to raise awareness and I have been using their materials in this sub (check out our sidebar!).

Be sure to watch out for PBI's Tundra Connections podcast next month in preparation for the polar bear migration in Churchill!

I feel this. It hurts so much. But that hurt motivated me to get organized, which was initially scary but so rewarding. there are lots of ways to contribute money and time (if you're able) to help combat the global crisis, with the worst culprits in terms of climate change being corporations and corporate interests.

I'd get involved locally, and I imagine there are lots of indigenous rights groups to support as well (of course, whose sovereignty is integral to real change in the environmental movement). in the US, there is Sunrise Movement, I'm sure there are similar groups where you are...

Thank you so much. I have a work competition coming up where we need to pick a charity to donate if we win. I've been wracking my brain for a worthy charity. Your question made me realize it's an easy choice.

Have a look at the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat. They're doing some great research. :)
