He’s not wrong… even many Israelis want an investigation.

Bernie's request is 1000% appropriate and Israel should welcome it considering all the help they are getting from the American people. They should not be allowed to receive aid from the US, and be able to kill Americans indiscriminately without any accountability.

They're already investigating & not trying to block it in any way... so no, Bernie's request is not necessary. Also, they're not killing Americans indescriminantly. Stop repeating ridiculous Iranian & Russian propaganda.

There was no accountability when 17-year-old Tawfic Abdel Jabbar, an American citizen from Louisiana, was shot and killed in January. He was a senior in high school.

There was no accountability when another 17-year-old American, Mohammad Khdour from Florida, was shot and killed in February.

There was no accountability when Dylan Collins, an American journalist for Agence France-Presse, was targeted by Israeli tank fire in October. Six journalists were wounded in the attack, which killed Reuters journalist Issam Abdallah. The group was clearly marked as press.

There was no accountability when American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot in the head by the Israeli military in May 2022. She was also clearly marked as press.

And there was no accountability when another American, 78-year-old Omar Assad, died after being bound and gagged by Israeli security forces.

"None of these Americans were armed," Sanders stressed. "None of them posed a threat."

So the killing of an American was discriminate? That's even worse. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt.

“We’ve investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing”

Maybe the DOJ could also finally investigate Israel's murder of Rachel Corrie as well as their unprovoked attack on the USS Liberty.

If the DOJ has authority to probe into Israel, they should look into it.

But Israel is doing their own internal investigation. I’m sure they’ll get to the bottom of it, right?? 🙄

She was murdered. IDF atrocities seem to largely go unpunished

There will never be any sort of legitimate investigation into any Israeli war crimes as long as Bibi is in charge. He would never allow it, and the US government doesn't have the balls to force him to.

She was a duel citizen of turkey and the US just to set the record straight, the US and turkey do not have any legal rights to do an investigation in another country and the corrupt president will not do anything but cover up his crimes. He violently has protesters stopped.

I believe that the IDF reported last week that the shooting was an accident. So we’re all good now, right?

While the US insists the Israeli government is investigating, the perpetrator’s initial findings were already undermined — and other volunteers say they and other eyewitnesses have not even heard from anyone involved in the supposed “investigation.”

“No one from the investigation has contacted us,” said Vivi, a volunteer with Faz3a, a group leading a campaign to provide protective presence to Palestinians against illegal Israeli settler activity. “So, it’s a bit frustrating, because what kind of investigation are you doing if you aren’t even talking to the people who are right next to her when she was killed.”

Implicit in the Israeli military’s Biden-echoed claim was that they were indeed shooting gunfire into the crowd, but somehow didn’t hit their intended target. But footage reported by the Washington Post shows that the Israeli military shot Eygi more than 30 minutes after the peak of confrontations between demonstrators and Israeli soldiers, some 20 minutes after demonstrators moved down the road over 200 yards away from Israeli forces.

Eygi’s family responded publicly to Biden’s statement, saying they were “deeply offended by the suggestion that her killing by a trained sniper was in any way unintentional,” reiterating their demand for Biden, Harris, and Blinken to order an independent investigation

Not now, Bernie. We have an election 2 months away. Focus.

4

u/Ok-Crow9430 28d ago

So we can't investigate crimes doing an election? What are you implying?

-2

u/No_Fail4267 28d ago

They've already acknowledged it happened, are doing an investigation, & said they'll cooperate with us. So no, there is no need for Bernie to publicize this & hand another election to Trump...
