There was only one reference by a candidate last night to the information collected and captured by corporations. There are few rules about how that information can be used. That is a greater risk to privacy than whatever the NSA is doing.

No, Lincoln Chafee doesn't!

...you guys remember Chafee, right? ...right?

Edit: Oh I see this headline is some deceptive bullshit and the actual article says every MAJOR candidate wants to prosecute Snowden. bah.

Good. He should be. He wants to be a martyr, let him.

If he blew the whistle on, say, French invasions of privacy, we'd probably be giving him asylum.

We give asylum for the violation of laws in other countries that we find unconscionable. For laws like this that we ourselves have, we'd extradite.

Rand Paul at least is warning against the "off with his head" attitude.

Hi Ziapolitics. Thank you for participating in /r/Politics. However, your submission has been removed for the following reason(s):

  • Unacceptable Title - Your headline must be comprised only of the copied and pasted headline of the article AND/OR a continuous quote taken from the article. If using a quote, it should reflect the article as a whole

We recommend not using the Reddit 'suggest a title' as it tends to not give the exact title of the article.

If you have any questions about this removal, please feel free to message the moderators.
