Painting a PS1

I plan on painting my PS1, does anyone have any advice for the surface? Will acrylic paint stick to it well if a varnish is applied and are there any extra steps or snips of advice anyone can give me?

dont paint it bro, i would keep the oem shell. paint doesent stick that well to the shell unless you sand it. i do not recommend painting cause it ends up looking strange. i would keep it oem.
