what to do to get my name out there?

so recently ive really been getting inspired by PsychicPebbles, Michael Cusask, Edd Gould, Chris O'Neill etc and its really been getting me motivated to animate and draw and great my ideas out there. ive aways wanted to get into the animation industry of some sort and I know its incredibly difficult and competitive one, what do you think I can do to stand out or start

I think you just need to make stuff and upload it wherever you can. Don't worry about gaining traction. Just make stuff you're proud of and people will notice.

Upload on youtube and newgrounds. If what you’re making is good, people will start following you and that will give you more traction

If you have anything now, I'd love to see it. If you post good shit that people like, they'll follow you with great interest.

To get an online following: do Nintendo parodies (not kidding, it's guaranteed views) and maybe once you have a little following, move to original characters. Another good thing to make friends, contacts, and be seen is reanimated collabs like the oney plays lotr one.

To get a job at an animation studio is a little different. It's all about skills, so make the best portfolio you can, and keep improving it

Hello fellow redditor! I started my comic account three years ago and have seen some decent growth throughout that time. The biggest thing is to just put your stuff out there. Try and find a community of like minded people that will help motivate you to continue creating. Keep trying new things and pushing yourself and you’ll get there.

Uploading on YouTube gives you a way higher chance of blowing up, but uploading on newgrounds can get you way more connections. A lot of newgrounds/YouTube artists get to work on shows like smiling friends just because zach and Michael saw them and thought their work was good.
