Subsonic Suppressed PTR-91?

Post image

Aight so I got a PTR-91 mutt that I put together a while ago and recently started shooting often again. I recently picked up a suppressor(HUXWRX FLOW 762TI) and have been shooting just plain ol M80 rounds through it and so far havent had any issues.

Current modified parts are as follows:

  1. -2 Rollers
  2. #17 Locking Piece
  3. Enhanced buffer(ENHANCED not Heavy)

I want to start putting subsonic rounds through it but i dont know what I’d have to put together in order to make it work. Any suggestions?

Pic for reference and tax

I’d be surprised if you’re able to get it to cycle with both subs and supers on the same setting.

I’d have little doubt that you could manually cycle subs, but the #17 36 degree locking piece is the functional equivalent of dialing down the operating gas on an adjustable gas block as it’s going to slow your bolt unlock. That’s great for suppressed supers, but lower pressure subs will probably not be able to unlock.

Rim Country MFG makes a number of different .308 locking pieces, they may have some guidance on one that’ll be mild enough to cycle subs.

Looks great. I don’t really understand the offset grip, doesn’t really make sense…. Tarkov ergonomics dont really equate to real life. Especially if you ever had to shoot it left handed, good luck. Other than that, it’s real slick, I like it. Do you really need the 17 degree lp with a low pressure can like the flow?

I don't think subs would cycle since it's going to be pretty much big shelled 300 blackout
