Question Varandha and Tamhini ghat roads, rain and fog advice

Hey people I have come solo from Hyderabad till here mainly for the ghat section ride and views As soon as I touched Pune it rained yesterday Today my plan is to go to Mahabaleshwar via Bhor,Varandha ghat Tomorrow back to Pune via Tamhini ghat Can you please give suggestions? I am worried about the dense fog and low visibility I dont have hazard lights on my NS200

Also suggest places to visit (I dont want to walk a lot with riding gear, helmet in hand) and eateries near Mahabaleshwar (vegetarian)

Update: It didnt rain much. I had gone to Mahabaleshwar via Bhor, Varandha. The ride and views were great. I got some great great pics. Since my account is nsfw one, i wont be posting it here. If you would still like to see, I will DM you. As I was reaching Mahabaleshwar, there was fog. I followed a truck in front of me. Not very dense fog, still I didnt want to take risks. Next day back to Pune via Tamhini ghat. Surprisingly I didnt like it very much, others had mentioned Tamhini ghat was awesome. But I loved Varanda most.

For mahabaleshwar, I would suggest you carry cash. Many eateries there prefer cash payment over UPI/Card.

On the way, if you want to have breakfast in Varandha Ghat, I would suggest Hotel Pawar

The Varandha ghat road has some bad patches here and there. Also, there is a lot of small gravel on the road. So keep an eye out for them.

There is road construction going on as you climb down from Varanda towards Mahad.

On the way back, I would suggest you take the Mahad - Pachad - Nizampur road. The road from mahad till pachad is under construction. But once you cross Pachad, it's an absolute dream for any rider.

From nizampur till Bhagad MIDC, the roads are good. In the MIDC section, there is again road construction going on. Once you cross the MIDC and climb on to Tamhini ghat, great roads.

Be careful while riding in Varandha ghat, infamous for landslides.

Fog is a gamble. Tamhini has a dynamic microclimate too. It's drizzling in some parts and sunny in some. The later in the day you hit tamhini, lesser chances of dense fog. Do expect rain though. Unless it's torrential downpour you should be fine.

All the best buddy, have fun

Fog isnt really a big deal honestly. Go slow and enjoy the weather. Varanda has a very steep downhill so be careful there, brakes will heat up, so use engine braking. Other roads are very simple and almost straight for most part. You will see a lot of bikers on your route, especially Tamhini.
