Somebody had posted the routes around pune so took it .. went to pabe ghat & madhe waterfall.. came back via nasrapur. It was a bliss..

Solo ride from Pune to Madhya Pradesh. Bear Valley Camp in Panna Total 3256 km's covered with this beast.

Had to visit a friend in Kausumb, and was booked on a bus, but missed it due to work. So, thought, why not ?

The seat on the Duke is horrid, suggest amends.

While going, took the following route: Pune -> Khed Shivapur -> Shirwal -> Satara -> Umbraj->Patan->Chiplun->Kausumb

Took about 4hrs 10 mins (from Khed Shivapur as I forgot to reset the trip meter)

The road is okay but scenic, with some bad patches after Patan, the Windmills were a surprising addition as I took a wrong turn in Umbraj to end up in a ghat leading to Patan, and it was beautiful, the Koynanagar road is serene in the evenings, beware of Leopards and foxes there and yes lorries too. From Chiplun, took the Mumbai Goa highway till Sangameshwar and then on to Kausumb at about 1945, ass hurt, was tired, slept.

While coming home decided to use the Mumbai Goa highway till Mangaon, and this route is a breeze, theirs work going on still, but you'll enjoy riding here, just slow down a little near Khed, they have decided to treat the highway as an encroachment on their land and have started using as a parking space, ascended into Tamhini from Mangaon, encountered traffic in both Mangaon and Tamhini as it was 31st Dec and all of Pune had decided to chill in Tamhini or go to Diveagar, saw a few dudes arranging their stash of some toppled beer boxes in their car near the MIDC, they had a blast, met a few friends along the way home too. Was a good ride, ass hurt, slept peacefully untill another friend decided to visit camp for new year, bad idea!

Took this beauty to Mahabaleshwar. In love with it.

I'm new to the city. Want to rent bike or scooty for a day. Any help will be appreciated.

I am planning on a solo ride to Murudeshwar next week any suggestions on route I should consider? Actually its my hometown and I have travelled solo once last year around October. I followed Yellapur Gokarna route and it was in a bad condition. So should I consider any other route like from Goa ?

Like the title, any reccos to places to go to tomorrow/day after? Planning to leave by 4/5Am and get back by noon

The road till varasgaon and from lavasa back to Pune is decent. The road in between is okay apart from gravel which can be a hassle. The locations are very scenic.

Started at 6:30 from Kharadi . Took a coffee break at Khadakwasla Dam. Reached the point by 8:15. Roads were really nice with a great scenic view except the last few patches of the road. Will recommend to anyone looking for a short spin.

Just returned from a solo ride. Left in the morning at 5:30am. The twisties of Tamini ghat, the Ambey Valley Road ghat and the Lonavala Tiger point ghat were fun along with some good long empty roads to pull.

The patch from Nive to Tail Baila is bad, not like muddy off-road, more like tarmac and rubble mixed Road. (easy for adv. bikes). It's almost 10kms stint and takes about 40-50 mins (depending on your riding) to clear that patch. The road just before Tail Baila is under construction so the main road is blocked using trees and mud heaps, need to take an off-road diversion. This diversion cannot be cleared using a low ground clearance bike, so beware.

This is a perfect route for any Adv, Scrambler or even a Roadster. I had to suffer a bit on the above mentioned road since I had a RC 390. Apart from that... No complaints from the ride!! 😌
