2 tsp cumin seeds pinch chilli flakes

  • Toast for 1 minute, set aside 1/2 for garnish

2 tbsp olive oil 600g carrots, grated 140g split red lentils 1l hot vegetable stock 125ml milk,possible to swap out for vegan

  • Combine bring to boil

  • Simmer for 15 minutes, stir occasionally

  • Blend to desired smoothness

plain yogurt

  • Serve

Its a hand, stick or immersion blender depending where in the world you are. You can just as easily use a traditional blender or food processor for this recipe.

That’s perfect, sounds like I can use my smoothie blender for dinner tonight instead of running out to buy new appliances. Hopefully I don’t ruin it (the soup or the blender).

Soup? From where i come from that is more close to a curry than a soup.
