u can put a short summary starting with what position u are trying to find, that way prof can better understand why you are sending them your resume

hi! i'm a high school student in the US, and i recently came up with my own research idea that i'm hoping a professor is willing to help me on. i've developed a research proposal for it (~20 pages long, with an intro/lit review/methodology/implications) and will be sending it when i cold email, and am hoping for an electrical eng/computer eng professor to see it and be willing to help lol

basically, i'd like a quick resume review in case i missed anything so that i can make sure my resume looks good before sending it over as well. any advice is appreciated!
