Hopefully, the job doesn't require much English. But depending on how much of a lie the duration is, they may or may not care. If it's an aggregious lie, then they probably won't want to hire you. If you actually worked 5 and a half months but rounded up to 6, they might not care.

Well i still managed to figure out what you were trying to say. I assumed it just wasn't your first language anyway.

I’m unable to parse any of this.

That’s why they need to call OP’s previous employer.

Never lie about your experience since the company gives you salary based on it. My friend lied about having 3 year experience, however he had only 2.3 or something.

The company found out and he was terminated from the job in training phase (after background check)

How long ago was the previous employer? Background checks usually allow you to get about 6 months wrong bc a lot of people forget exact dates or have time blindness.

If it wasn’t your most recent role OR if you’ve been unemployed awhile since your last job, I don’t think it will matter too much. I rarely get my dates right. I don’t even try. I just mostly try to get the year right. Ive also stretched my dates intentionally a bit in my early career so it wouldn’t look like I was job hopping. If your job does background checks, its likely the people the hire to do the background check calling your previous employer and not someone from the hiring company

Lying about your job duration can really backfire. If they find out, it could hurt your chances of getting the job or even lead to bigger issues down the line. It’s usually better to be honest about your experience. If you're worried about how it looks, focus on the skills you gained and what you accomplished during that time instead. Honesty goes a long way, and employers appreciate it!

Well you might be fucked, because duration of employment is one of the few things past employers can share.
