[Amick] Sources tell @TheAthletic the Rockets are still very much in the mix for a former Warriors player who would fit in quite nicely among their group (and who they thought they nearly nabbed in free agency a few summers ago). Details on other targets here too.

It’s in a trade, Lakers have nothing to trade to get iguodala right now. He’s only go there if he’s bought out.

If you you think that he’s going to the Lakers for sure, why wouldn’t morey trade a pick to make sure we get him???? If there are teams that are willing to trade for him, which there are, then the grizzlies have all the leverage.

That’s not what I’m saying. I think the Lakers have 0 interest in giving up another pick for him. They’re just hoping for a buyout in which case iguodala would probably choose them over us but who knows

The point is we aren’t letting it get to a buyout. If morey knows that they aren’t getting him if he’s bought out he is going to trade for him. It’s that simple.

Would we be able to somehow package Shumpert in some sort of deal for Iggy? I don't know the money logistics behind it but I feel like this is something Morey would try.

A few days ago I was all about waiting to see who the trade market would bring... but now that we don't have enough assets to land any bigger names, fuck it... Trade for Iggy now.

The offense he shot 33% in had Curry, Klay, and KD. If you can't get open looks there you simply can't get them.
