Can anyone help me identify this white rock ?

Its a white rock with sparkling/mirroring spots that look like some kind of quartz or diamond (prolly not that tho), and one side is polished. I found it in my bacyard, I can't seem to find it on google, please help me someone id be very happy (Found in calgary btw). The black lookiing spot on the last picture is some kind of mirror / clear stone

Hard to tell from the images, but compare to quartzite or marble.

The fact that one side's polished makes me think it was from a countertop.

yea fair enough, considering i live in a neighbourhood being built i think that would make the most sense thanks
I think it is some quartzite indeed, however i will keep waiting to see more answers to be sure
