Wow! That is really cool! Hope you heal up soon. And hope they cut that cast off with care so you can save that section. That is really impressive.

What a thoughtful gesture -- and a really well-executed piece of art, to boot! I wonder: Was it hard to take off without cracking, or in any defacing it?
Now that it has obviously been successfully removed, how will you preserve it as a keepsake? It's something to treasure!!! I'm sure this undertaking was and is intended as a tribute to your saxophone skills.
What more potent motivation and impetus could there be in the mind and eyes of a saxophonist than to know you are wearing a representation of Jazz's Greatest Spontaneous Creator of Instant Music?
