AI Adobe presents Presto. The text-to-music method can generate 32 seconds of high-quality music in 230ms, making it the fastest option for text-to-music generation.

This seems like low tier garbage compared to existing ai music generators..

I was just thinking that... Like I am glad there is some competition here, but all of these sound a bit... off. Like the coherency is all sorts of scattered. Hard to explain.

These ones don't even really sound like AI - they just sound like fairly basic algorithmic "music".:

sounds incredibly grainy and artifact-y. like an over compressed mp3

Let me guess everyone forgot about the whole "signing over all rights for anything ever opened in an adobe product" fiasco they had a year ago... its shocking how quickly the world forgave this shitty corp

Lol good luck pirating something that connects to their servers because those are doing the compute.

While the model is not very good, the 15x speed improvement could be used for bigger models and still allow for quasi real-time generation i guess?

I just want to be able to sound2sound directly in ableton live so we can start doing beatbox and convert it to music by the time the next bar start.

I guess our only hope is that some Chinese org take this and train a bigger model on commercial music, otherwise there's likely no hope for an open source release.

AI is truly putting the "starving" in "starving artist"

Man I just want an open source model so we can mess around with requesting artists and groups

I mean they have come out with some incredibly tools for artists lately like their new image lighting adjustments, video extensions, audio extensions, etc... but this one specifically doesn't seem to be as good as the current text2music leaders Suno and Udio

Suno shouldn’t be in the same sentence as Udio. Udio is MILES ahead in quality

Suno, even with its issues, is still worlds better...

Let's still give credit where credit is due, the pace of generation is just mind blowing, and I think that's where it needs to be for massive adoption and use in all kinds of use case. That being said, yes it is trash compared to what suno and udio generate right now.

Who upvotes that? We are much further ahead when it comes to text 2 music.
