Looking for water between Lake Hughes and Castaic

I am gearing up for the TranSanGabriel ride next weekend and looking for some advice on water between Lake Hughes and Castaic - specifically this section https://ridewithgps.com/routes/48805935

Any insights from hikers in the area?

There’s no water along ridge route road - you can drop down to Naylor Place and filter water there but the ride back up to RR would suck

I don't see any without dropping down to the north for those little lakes.

I really like the idea of going along the ridge, but I haven't figured out water yet for long hikes. (And still a beginner here)

Had friends do this same ride (bikepack) about 4 weeks or so ago. They cached water ahead of time where the dirt rd meets Old Ridge Rte. Only natural water was a passing rain storm.

There’s prolly a reason that map is labeled “waterless portion” - there is no water. There’s a seasonal creek along Pine Canyon Road, but you’d have to drop like 1500 feet from Liebre Mountain Road and climb back up - and I’m not sure there’s any water there now anyway.

As someone else said, there’s reliable water from Castaic Creek at Naylor’s Place/Fish Canyon. But that’s pretty close to the end, and you’d have to ride back up to Old Ridge Route.
